City Ballet has a long tradition of fully costumed and staged productions. With each show, we use a professional photographer who shoots both individual and group photographs for purchase. A day is set aside at the studio for photos and specific times are provided for each group. Although there is no obligation to buy, we do encourage all students to participate in the group photos so the entire class or group is represented. We also contract with a professional videographer to film our performances and those tapes can be bought as well by placing an order in advance.
Bob Stuart of Photography by Bob Stuart has been the official photographer for City Ballet for the last 4 years. Perhaps inspired by his wife, who teaches ballet and partners in portrait sessions, he has an exceptional eye for dance photography. He is also a skilled portrait and wedding photographer.
